    The morning begins with a refreshing and delicious breakfast at your hotel. Later you will meet your local guide and start your HERITAGE WALKING TOUR OF OLD DELHI. This tour is a combination of heritage and culture with walking and cycle rickshaw (Pedi cab). First you will visit JAMA MOSQUE -the largest mosque of India. In continuation we take a Rickshaw ride (Pedi cabs) through the 300 years old CHANDNI CHOWK BAZAAR to explore the historical lanes and of Old Delhi. We will also visit KHARI BAWLI- Asia's largest spice market.

    At the end of the rickshaw ride we move on to RAJ GHAT, the memorial of father of the Gandhi. It is a peaceful place with beautiful gardens and this will mark the end of our HERITAGE WALKING TOUR OF OLD DELHI. Later we head to BRITISH DELHI (New Delhi), drive pass the official home of President of India (Rashtrapati Bhavan) and Indias highest legislative body the parliament building. Also visit the Iconic INDIA GATE memorial to 90,000 India soldiers who died during World War.

    Visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and Gandhi Smriti if time allows. In the evening VISIT LOCAL FAMILY HOME for a real cultural experience. You will be welcomed by the local family to their house where you will learn about their lifestyle, culture and food. This is the best way to connect with locals. You will learn about the Indian spices, marriages, making chai tea and participate in cooking dinner with your host. At the end enjoy the dinner with the family.

    After eating a hearty breakfast you will be taken to the former capital of the great Mughal Empire Agra. On arrival check-in at Hotel. In the afternoon visit, the Agra fort is one of the three strategic forts built by Mughal emperors. It enjoyed great prestige and significance when Agra served as its capital. The Mughal treasury was always kept in this massive giant fort.

    The rest of the time is yours you can visit Mehtab Bagh also called Moonlit garden, across the river which stretches over 950 square feet and is aligned perfectly with the Taj Mahal. When you stand within the garden you find mesmerising view of the temple of love, almost like a crowning jewel, framed by the trees and hedges that run up to the edges of the river bank.

    Early Morning Sunrise Tour of Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal memorial to Love is the tomb of Mumtaj Mahal, the wife of 5th Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, the World’s richest man of his time. There are many architectural buildings in the world but what makes this building different than others is the love story behind this monument of Love. Back to Hotel for Breakfast. After a leisurely breakfast drive to Pink City Jaipur. En route, we make a stop to visit FATEHPUR SIKRI the deserted ghost city. Once the capital of Mughal for 10 years was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great in the 16th century.

    You will also visit 09TH CENTURY STEP WELL ABHANERI. Before arriving Jaipur we will stop for an OFFBEAT EXPERIENCE. We will visit a rural village located near the sand dunes. Arrive and take a camel cart ride to the dunes to enjoy the mesmerizing sunset view over the dunes. Here you will also enjoy camel ride.

    Later we will take a small walk to the village Dhulagarh to see the local lifestyle. We will end this experience with a visit to a small palace now converted into an Heritage hotel belongs to the Royal family here you will enjoy Traditional Rajasthani Meal in a traditional dinning setting.     After breakfast drive to Amer fort 11 Kms outside of Jaipur the former medieval capital, built by Raja Man Singh the commander of the Rajput Akbar army in 1592. This landmark is a splendid representation of Rajput architecture. After the short trek, you’ll steady your feet and be awestruck by the marvelous sight before you, marble palaces, mosaics, paintings, mirror works, carvings, mural walls, and engravings. When touring Amber fort don’t forget to visit 17 century Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), a chamber decorated with an array of mirrors on the walls and ceiling. The Zenana courtyard is a place you must see. It is a private women’s residence designed with one corridor but different rooms so that the Maharaja (King) could visit the wife or concubines of his choice, at his pleasure without the others knowing.

    After visiting Amer fort, return to the city en route stop for the picture at Jal Mahal (Water Palace), is a five story high palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The four floor stay under the water it is only the fifth floor which is visible. Later visit the glorious City Palace; when you visit you get a feel for the wealth of Jaipur’s royal family one of the richest in India. for a beautiful display of intricate craftsmanship see the superb peacock gate which shows off spectacular and bright peacock images at the entrance that will make you go WOW !Visit one of the best museums in India with an art gallery and exhibits of royal costumes and medieval Indian armaments. Admire an exclusive collection of regal costumes and marvellous shawls like the pashmina. It is here that you will find what are considered to be the biggest silver object on earth; these are two mammoth silver vessels 1.6 m tall.

    Jantar Mantar was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II between 1727 and 1734. The word 'Jantar' means instrument, whereas 'mantar' refers to formula or calculation. Situated in Jaipur, this monument is one of the five astronomical observatories present in India. The other four astronomical observatories are located at Delhi, Varanasi, Mathura and Ujjain. Jantar Mantar also includes about 15 astronomical instruments of various geometrical shapes and sizes. These instruments are used for measuring time, accurately determining the celestial altitude and predicting the occurrence of eclipses.

    Drive past Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) was built so that the royal ladies could view the Royal processions without anyone seeing them. If you have ever seen a giant beehive than that gives you an idea of the look of this five storey building. The Hawa Mahal is beautifully decorated with lattice work, has some 953 tiny windows (Jharokhas). Rest of the day is completely yours in Pink City.

  • Where and when does this tour end?

    The tour ends in Delhi on Day 8. There are no activities planned for this day so you are free to depart at any time.

  • Where and when does this tour start?

    Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, so you can arrive in Delhi at any time, and spend the day settling into your accommodation and exploring the city. In the evening you will be greeted by your trip CEO at a welcome meeting, so you can get acquainted with your fellow travellers and go over the final trip details. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.

  • Do you arrange airport transfers?

    An arrival transfer will be provided by the G Adventures supported project Women on Wheels. Departure transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however your accommodation can book you a local transfer upon your departure for an additional charge.

  • What is the age range?

    This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old. This means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form. Please be aware that you must be 18 to travel unaccompanied on a G Adventures tour.

  2. In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.

Cancellation Policy

  1. If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  2. If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  3. If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
