    When you arrive in Kolkata, our representative will greet you and transport you to your hotel. Kolkata, also known as the City of Joy, was founded in 1686. It is a city on the banks of the Hooghly River that retains vestiges of British rule in India, as evidenced by its Victorian-style architecture, trams, and place names.

    Kolkata Sightseeing

    After breakfast, pay a visit to the Dakshineshwar Kali Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Kali (Dark Mother Goddess in Hinduism). Next, pay a visit to St. Johns Church, Kolkata's third oldest church, which was built in 1787. Spend time photographing Eden Gardens, India's oldest and largest cricket stadium, as you drive by. Visit Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity Mother House (Closed on Thursdays). Mother Teresa dedicated her entire life to serving the poor and destitute, and thus founded the Missionaries of Charity. So far, the organisation has spread its wings to over 100 countries. The mother's body is buried on the ground floor of this building, which is visited by people from all over the world. Then, drive past St. Paul's Cathedral, which was built in 1847 in the Indo-Gothic style. Then, pay a visit to the Victoria Memorial Hall (Closed on Mondays and National Holidays), a massive marble museum built in memory of Queen Victoria to commemorate her 25-year reign over India. In the evening, go to the Prinsep Ghat, which overlooks the Hooghly River and offers stunning sunset views.

    Kolkata to Bagdogra (By Flight) to Darjeeling (95 Kms / Approx. 3.5 Hrs drive) drive

    This morning, after breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival, you will be driven to Darjeeling. Darjeeling (7100 ft), known as the "Queen of the Hill Stations," gets its name from the "Dorje-Line," which means the location of "Dorje," the mystic thunderbolt.

    You will arrive in Darjeeling after a scenic drive through the mountains and tea gardens, experiencing unforgettable beauty. Check into your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing or walking up to the mall area.

    Darjeeling Sightseeing

    Prepare for an early morning trip to Tiger Hill (7800 feet) to see the sunrise from behind the majestic Kanchenjunga range. On the way back, stop by the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop before returning to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, take a half-day Darjeeling local sightseeing tour that includes the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), the Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), the Ropeway, the Zoo, the Tibetan Refugees Self Help Centre, the Tea Garden (outer view), and the Japanese Temple. Return to the hotel in the evening and take a walk to "Chowrasta," the Mall area's focal point. You could go window shopping.

    Darjeeling to Pelling (125 Kms / Approx. 05 Hrs. drive)

    After breakfast, check out of the hotel and take a ride on the Heritage Toy Train Joy in Darjeeling. Then continue to Pelling (6800 feet) via Ravangla (6800 feet), a small township and transit point to various destinations in South and West Sikkim located at the base of Meenam Hill (10300 Ft). Arrive in Pelling in the afternoon and check into your hotel. This is one of the closest points to the Kanchenjunga range, and from Pelling, one can see it up close and touching the sky.

    Pelling Sightseeing

    After an early breakfast at the hotel then leave for the Khecheopalri Lake, also called the "Wish Fulfilling Lake". It is located in a valley surrounded by prayer flags and forested hills. Then visit Rimbi Falls and Khangchendzonga. After lunch, travel 2.5 kilometres to The Pemayangtse Monastery (7021 Ft). It is one of the oldest and most important monasteries of the Nyingmapa order of Buddhism in Sikkim, having been built in the late 17th century. Even today, only the monks of this monastery are known as 'Tasang,' or pure monks. The monastery has 108 monks and follows the Mindroling tradition. Serdup Ling's wooden replica of Zangdog Palri, Guru Padmasambhava's celestial abode, is the monastery's main attraction. Proceed to Rabdentse Ruins, which served as the second capital of the erstwhile Kingdom of Sikkim until 1814 A.D. This is also very close to the Pemyangtse Monastery, which is about a 30-minute walk from the main road. The scenic view from the top of the ruins across the deep valley to the mystical heights of the Kanchenjunga range is something to treasure and remember. Return to the hotel by the evening to stay.

    After breakfast, pay a visit to Do-Drul Chorten (Stupa), one of Sikkim's most important stupas, which was built in 1945 by the head of the Nyingma order, Trullshi Rimpoche. It contains rare Dorji Phupa details, Holy Books, Mantras, and is surrounded by 108 prayer wheels. Later,  visit to The Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), a renowned worldwide centre for the study of Mahayana Buddhist philosophy and religion, as well as a treasure house of rare "Thankas," statues, and over 200 Buddhist icons and prized objects of art. Following that, visit Enchey Monastery, a 200-year-old Buddhist monastery blessed by Lama Drupthob Karpo (an exponent of Tantric Art Buddhism). Then, visit to the Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre (closed on Sundays). Overnight stay at Gangtok.

  2. In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
  3. Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.

Cancellation Policy

  1. If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  2. If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  3. If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
